The story of our love

It all began with a swipe right! What started as a simple match quickly turned into endless conversations. We spent every free moment texting and getting to know each other, and it soon became clear that we had to meet in person.

Our first date didn't go as planned—we were refused entry into the bar we had chosen, which could have been a disaster. Instead of letting it get us down, we wandered around, looking for something else to do. Eventually, we gave up and found a bench where we could sit and talk for hours. Those unplanned moments turned out to be the highlight of our evening.

Mark got approved by Rocky, and just two weeks after our first date, on October 30th, 2014, we officially became a couple—over pizza, of course! From that moment on, our love only grew stronger as we shared countless adventures and created beautiful memories together. We visited Belfast early on and fell in love with the city, making many trips back, as well as traveling to Orlando, the Bahamas, Holland, Belgium, France, and Spain.

In 2022, we finally moved in together in Belfast, where we now live with our two green cheek conures, Samson and Goliath, our cockatiels, Harland and Alex, and our two hamsters, Hannah and Fiadh.

After 10 amazing years together, and in keeping with the tone of our early days, we got engaged over pizza in September 2024. After 11 years together, we will finally say "I do" in the city that means so much to us.
